I shot this video of CASSETTE PLAYA'S London fashion week show. I am not a fan of fashion week, it's too chaotic for me!
I love Carri, not only is she one of my best friends, but she always comes with something fresh for her collections and will always inspires.

A FIXED GEAR DOCUMENTARY... INITIAL REVIEW

Photos Jonathan Winstone
'A FIXED GEAR DOCUMENTARY'.... I thought this was the working title of this film when I first heard about it, but it's not. It is such a bold statement.
When i first started seeing photos of this film on the internet of people riding in a dimly lit warehouse to get those 'slow mo' shots I was a little disappointed. I always feel that taking any culture away from their natural environment (in this case the streets or a natural space) it makes it seem a little artificial, just keep it real, that is my mantra anyway. It looks very big budget and the tech spec is up there. I just hate anything that is just money motivated, I know they are trying to sell it to ant sponsor that will take it for ££££ and to me that should never be the motivation to make a documentary.
I'm definitely not trying to hate but I will always be real, love or hate it. The film looks technically great, as any big budget film should. I just don't understand it, what is it about? I know it was a long time coming before someone would try and make a big budge fixed gear film.
I like anything that represents London and love that lots of my friends are in it, but come on fixed gears in London did not start with Shop 14 (I heart Shop 14 FYI)! I really hope OG's Buffalo Bill of Moving Target and Conrad of Rollin' Stock get some airtime... a fixed gear documentary about London would be invalid without them.
I know why people rides bikes, they are fast, easy and fun... fun to do tricks on.. right... more...
But i guess if they didn't make it no one would have.
P.S. No offense intended.
I WILL POST THE TRAILER WHEN IT IS BACK ONLINE...
GIRLZZZ....
I cant ride my bike for a few weeks (doctors orders) so i have been doing lots of girls stuff including dressing like a girl!
I took Juliet to my best friend Sharma's nail salon WAH NAILS and now she is converted! As well as that she just launched her own lipgloss ...here! She got pentagrams and spiders webbs they look so sick!
Juls rocking new Zlog tee.

WASSUP ROCKERS: WILL YOU BE MY VALENTINE???
Like Larry Clark I am also fascinated by adolescent males- but not in a perverse sexual way!
I just love kids that do shit they love, especially when their circumstance push them into becoming an outsider, which in turn gives them that effortless cool attitude. That fearless 'don't give a fuck' attitude that only comes from being deprivation or real struggle. Real Talk. I fell in LOVE with this teenage Mexican skate cru in Wassup Rockers 'cos that is what they were, but not as individuals but as a unit. They reminded me of kids I knew, but just looked different. WE DON'T HAVE MEXICAN KIDS IN LONDON! And that's the thing I probably loved most, they way they looked, skated and dressed... it's different here!
Soo seeing as I don't have a date for Valentines day if someone could send these kids to London to hang out that would be cool!

NYC SEPTEMBER '09...
I got these photos developed from when I was in NYC at the end of last summer. The reason I love film is that you forget what's on it!
